Kahyrst

"Come to Kahyrst, the most magnificent city in the entire kingdom, can I interest you in our exquisite fashion, archipelago or our excellent cuisine?"
Kahyrst is the second most populous city in Cyrril and the most verdant. In Kahyrst culture matters the most. The word Kahyrst means "Of flowers and Mountains" and this is the cities pride.  The city was formerly a small settlement used for military alchemy due to it being rich in flora but when Cyrril gained its independence from Fereldas it truly began to prosper. Many aspiring alchemist and healers see Kahyrst as their dream destination. Many of the worlds most potions are produced in bulk due to Kahyrst having an abundance of ingredients such as Marigold and Gyn leaves. The city is also a hub for Fereldarian trading ships and commerce and other ships coming from the sea of thieves and from lands beyond. About 60km west from Kahyrst lies the Mountain Range of Edar which can be seen from the City. To the south of Kahyrst you have temperate forests and even lush jungles which make a natural border between Fereldas and Cyrril. To the east of Kahyrst you have it's wonderful archipelago which separates the city from the sea of thieves.

Demographics

The dominant race in Kahyrst are humans followed by Cyrrilian Orcs and Dwarves. They city in itself is quite rich and as such has a low percentage of crime and poverty. Due to its beautiful landscape many noble families wish to buy property here especially in the archipelago part.

Government

Duke Baldur is by many considered a benevolent leader and many attribute this to his golden heart but this is not the case, he runs the city the best way he can in order to impress his father the king of Cyrril.

Infrastructure

Because of the Mountain range of Edar it is not windy in Kahyrst, but there are many rivers and as such watermills are used, there are many bridges because of the archipelago, shipyards are abundant due to trade, Kahyrst prides itself on beauty and as such there are plenty of Gardens.
