Quick explanation of and update on all my writing projects.
Empire of the Covenant: High Fantasy, following a young heiress going through Courtship Rituals that sees the most powerful mages of the empire vie for her hand, as she hopes to use the occasion to find allies to protect her against the Dark Lord who wants to kill her.Book: Book 1 finished and I've started agent submission in February. I've also plotted the next books in the series.
Worldbuilding: most of it for book 1-3 written in December.

The Magical University of Lille: High Fantasy set in an alternative 1845 France, following a lecturer attempting to teach and protect the Chosen One from the king and the Dark Lord while fighting academic politics to get funding and a promotion.Book: Draft 1 and Revision Round 1 done. I'm hoping to do the next round of revision soon so that I can share the book with beta readers this year.
Worldbuilding: only introduction written.

Portal to Sérannie: Portal Fantasy set in a Roman-style world, following a young woman who was called there to help them defeat their Dark Lord but who was forced back into our world afterwards. She is determined to go back, regardless of the cost.Book: Draft 1 done, Revision Round 1 plotted and started. I'm hoping to get the book ready for beta readers before the end of the year.
Worldbuilding: almost all written earlier this year, but I'm keeping most of the characters private for now because of spoilers.

Engineering Corps: Science Fantasy set in an alternative 1845 France, following the new leader of the engineering corps after most of the officers were killed, showing her dealing with new recruits, engineering science, royal politics, and, of course, war.Book: Draft 1 written last November. Round 1 of Revision tentatively planned for next November.
Worldbuilding: all for book 1 written last year, with only some character articles left private because of spoilers.

Brûme: Science Fantasy set in contemporary France as an apocalypse kills 90% of the population, makes technologies stop working, gives people strange power, and unleashes cosmic horrors.Book: 25% of the Draft 1 written, but I got blocked because of a plotting problem.

Rome and the Sasanians: High Fantasy set in an alternative 4th century Roman Empire, following the emperor's estranged daughter who is forced to go back to Rome to avoid the Sassanid king's attention.Book: novel fully plotted.
