Planes
The planes or worlds of the Universe are spherical concentrations of Matter floating in the Sea of Creation. An uncounted assortment of worlds can be found in the vast cosmos: there are barren worlds of the barest elements but also garden worlds of thriving nature and fantastically strange worlds of magical wonder. Most worlds are simply physical realms isolated from each other but there are also a few dimensions that exist seemingly on top of each other.
Learned cosmologists consider the universe to be arranged along a bipolar axis with two sprawling constructs on either end. This cosmological model is known as the World Tree: the axis itself is comprised of the five Elemental Planes -- earth, air, water, fire and frost -- which each exist as thin and elongated strings of elemental energy; at one end of the axis lies the Plane of Chaos around which spread the roots of the World Tree while in the other end the tree's branches surround the Plane of Order.
