Ashen Apocrypha

The Ashen Apocrypha is the sacred scripture of the Imperial Church of Loviatar. It describes the mythology and teachings of Loviatar, the Goddess of Secrets, and their interpretation and implementation into worship in the shape of beliefs, morals, and sacraments.
The Ashen Apocrypha is believed to be a later edition of the Black Apocrypha, a collection of heresy written millenia ago by a mad prophet. To arrive at the modern version of the Ashen Apocrypha, much has been removed from the madman's original work and much more has been added.
Although not exactly heretical to the Empyreal Faith, copies of the Ashen Apocrypha can be very hard to find in the Heartlands. Loviatarian worship is largely taboo there and even outlawed in many nations. The Empire of Egea is, in fact, the only nation to openly allow loviatarian worship, making an Ashen Apocrypha remarkably easier to acquire there.
