Arath-Sodan Character in Amanor | World Anvil

Arath-Sodan (a-WRATH-so-DAWN)

Goddess of time and fate

She is the most ancient creature in the world, and she was an ancient even in the world that existed before ours. And in between, she has walked on countless realms over unknowable eternities in a time when time did not exist.
— An adolescent Arath-Sodan describing her older self to Marcus Lightmind in 2501 ER
Arath-Sodan is the Goddess of Time, an unknowable and elusive entity. Although her role in the cosmos and the powers of her divine domain are respected and undisputed, she is the epitome of a silent god. Prayers to her go unanswered and her temples are few and far between.   Arath-Sodan is depicted as a blindfolded woman leaning on a long staff. Her exact figure ranges from beatiful goddesses in flowing robes to humpbacked elders in tattered garb.
