A Bit to BlAmE
The beach is always a lovely place to be on dark nights, the sea breeze and the gentle smell of salt stings your nose in just the right ways. The sound of waves crashing is such a calming noise, and when it washes over your feet you feel the cool euphoria of your troubles being washed away. The young Fuchsia loved the beach, but tonight he craved something new.
When you are rich and royal you don't spend a whole lot of time with the common folk, this royal in particular, hasn't spent any with the common folk. He was an arrogant and pampered prince, the textbook case in fact. He stayed in the castle and around other highbloods, and he had no idea what was in store for him that night. He pulled the cloak over his face as he slipped away from the ocean.
He made his way out past the cities to the slums, the place was bustling. Trolls hurried from place to place, visiting shops, making their way to work, and all kinds of the nightly tasks trolls get up to. Kameln was enamored, his eyes sparkled with youthful curiosity, as he watched all of the energy. His life from this point was altered forever, he knew what it was like to be outside of the castle and he never wanted to go back.
For weeks he went out as soon as the night hit, though people in the castle missed him he would tell every excuse in his book to explain his disappearance. While the others questioned him, he still snuck out.
One day among the bustle of the city he ran into a troll, a burgundyblood to be precise. He hadn't been paying attention to his footing, even though this was the third week he'd started this, he was still so blown away by the environment. This girl was thrown to the ground and she let out a growl. She groaned and got up, "could you watch where you're going!"
Kameln was confused, he had never been talked to like this before. Who would dare say something so...rude to him. Oh that's right, he was covered, how would she know who he is. "wEll you BumpED into mE As wEll so ArEn't you A Bit to BlAmE"
The rust narrowed her eyes, she was not very happy about his response and her face showed it. She crossed her arms, and tapped her foot, "I haven't seen you here before, in fact I can barely see your face, who even are you?"
Kameln stayed silent, what was he supposed to say, if he told her who he was certainly there would be problems. He didn't want to cause any calamity so he just blinked at her. She shook her head, very unsatisfied, quickly she grabbed Kameln's arm and pulled him off. He thought his life had changed before when he first saw this place, well this girl would throw everything he's known off balance once again.
"um ExCusE mE But whErE ArE wE going??" Kameln asked the rustblood, who was dragging him glub knows where. The girl didn't respond instead pulling him into an alleyway and shoving him onto a box.
"I'm not going to ask you again, who are you?" this girl glared holes through him, and he looked around nervously. He decided to stay silent and not answer her again. She tapped her foot for a few seconds before becoming impatient. "You know what you won't tell me I'll find out for myself," She began to reach for his hood and he let out a nervous noise.
"hEy wAit Don't Do thAt," He reached for her hand and moved his head out of the way, "holD on, just..." He paused and stood up, this only made the rustblood angrier as she reached her hands out to shove him back down. "I CAn't tEll you hErE Alright,"
She crossed her arms and let out a grown, "Fine, if you have to be so difficult." She grabbed his arm and drug him off towards the forest. He followed her but still very nervous, the place she drug him too was in fact away from everyone else, and it was very beautiful.
The trees were tall and luxurious, the animals were running around amougst the brush and the view was something of a fairy tale. Flowers grew everywhere even on the moss of the trees. He let out an audible noise of awe. Of course he had seen pretty things before, but this was so different and new to him that he couldn't help but react.
She raised an eyebrow and looked at him. "What never seen a forest before." In truth he hadn't, it was far beyond the beaches he was around. He shook his head at her and she looked really confused, but she didn't wish to dwell on that long. She got over her surprise and pulled the hood off of Kameln, he didn't have the time to stop her so there he was unmasked and nervous.
She stared at him in awe, and let out a gasp. A sea-dweller, no a fuchsiablooded prince. What in the world was someone like him doing out here in the middle of the slums. She gulped and was too nervous to speak, having no idea what he would be like. Kameln smiled nervously and held out a hand, "um I'm Kameln, Kameln Frenar." She looked at his face and then down to his hand, she contimplated bowing but, if he'd wanted to hurt her he would have done it by now right? She reached her hand out and shook his. Hers were rough and calloused while his were soft and clean. "I'm um Fequin, Lquown" She responded to him, little did the either of them know what this bump into each other would turn into. For now though the two would speak, about many things in this first conversation. From things about the places they lived in to their hobbies and interests. They would learn that in the presence of the other they felt safe and happy. They would end up talking for hours, as they just found new things in common. Many things would change for them that night, but not to worry, it was for the better.
