Alterium

The world of Alterium stood at the brink of unique extra planar travel. Having united all humanoid races under the Gods of the Prime Covenant, the nations of Alterium had combined their knowledge of magic and technology to build a staggering amount of teleportation portals all over the planet. How these were powered and worked, or why they were created has been lost in time as the people have never been able to put them to their intended use. The world devastating conflict known as the Long Night fell over the world. Everlasting darkness covered all of Alterium, blocking contact with the Prime Covenant. Hordes of demons from the depths of the Abyss invaded the world, ripping it apart as whole sways of lands and continents were destroyed or forever lost in the depths of the ocean and beyond the portals. The remaining continents and nations had to bleed, fight, and sacrifice to prevail utter destruction. Some succeeded, some failed, and some are still fighting to this day. In the end, the everlasting darkness was lifted, but the world was left shattered, broken, and scattered beyond repair. Continents had lost contact and knowledge of each other, only to be told about in legends from long, long ago.   The portals that were once a sign of the combined effort and achievements of humanoids united, still littered across the remaining lands. For some, they were a reminder of a dark age, needed to be put away, and never to be seen again. For others, they were a relic of ancient times, of technology and magic unheard of in these days. And for yet others they were simply lost in time and surroundings, as nature grew over them, covering their existence. The portals have been dormant for over a 2,000 years, sometimes blinking on and off... Until for reasons unknown, some of them became active, opening pathways to long thought lost continents and maybe even other planes......

  Server Mission Our mission is to have fun while telling a story with each other in an ever evolving world, filled with danger and excitement. Your hero will have the chance to go on adventures, make new friends, and defeat challenging foes. Most of all, we want to have fun in a friendly environment where everybody is welcome.

Activity Times Most people on the server are currently active between 8 am and 10 pm CET (European day time hours) until we have DM's that can facilitate other time zones. If this falls outside your regular play hours, then this server may not be the right place for you at this moment. While you're participating in quests you're expected to be active during those hours.
