World in clutches of darkness. The pantheon of Gods protectors seems to have stopped paying attention. Monstrosities emerged around the world, kingdoms have fallen. Entire cities were enslaved, transformed or outright wiped from the face of the world.   People born in this world are hardy, many of them know nothing but constant struggle for survival. Tribal societies have emerged in place of great kingdoms. The wilderness has turned into place that is stalked by horrors.   Magic that is wielded by people has became volatile, with tendency to change their users. Many magic users have been driven insane. People of faith who could perform miracles by prayer often feel uncomfortable silence. Usage of dark arts that have been forbidden often becomes way to increase one's chances to survival.   In this darkness acts of kindness and heroism shine that much brighter and not all hope is lost. Tales of people that drive back the forces seeking to crush the last bastions of the old world. Age of Darkness might turn out to be Age of Heroes.
