Anatomy & Morphology
Origin of MorphologyBorn from the blood of Ûnað'Enē, he moulded them to resemble hymenopterans while maintaining an anthropomorphic form.
AnatomyThey are anthropomorphic, with four arms, two digitigrade legs and an exoskeleton. Their forms are slightly hunched, and many have two pairs of wings and a sting. They also have four clawed fingers and toes which are covered in sparse coarse hairs.
Sexual DimorphismFemales tend to be larger.
AbilitiesSome have wings and are capable of short flight.
Genetics and Reproduction
Females deposit eggs in a nest that are then fertilized by males. The gestation period lasts for about 6 months and incubation lasts for another 3 months.
Growth Rate & Stages
They reach adolescence at about 11 to 13 years and adulthood at about 18 to 20.
Unique Ageing ProgressionThey emerge from their eggs into a larval state, after reaching adolescence they form a cocoon and emerge again as Proto-Tithons. When they become adults around the age of 18 or 20 they form a cocoon once more, from which they emerge full-fledged Tithons. Most grow for the rest of their lives, through moulting.
Dietary Needs and Habits
They are hypercarnivores.
Their heads are roughly human-shaped; however, they have two large compound eyes three smaller simple eyes and mandibulate mouthparts which are fairly centred, some also have lengthy proboscis. They also have antenna that sit high on the sides of their heads. However, their features can vary greatly, following the appearances of the many hymenopterans.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Their base senses are superior to that of most other races.
Civilization and Culture
First names generally have little bases, besides following the phonetics of their language Luodic; however, they also have names in Altûŕic since their Luodic names can't be pronounced by most other races.
Major Language Groups and Dialects
OriginSeeking his own race, Ûnað'Enē followed the practices of the Ðíos of the Pillar of the Beasts. After creating the Tithons he placed them on Domus' moon; however, some eventually settled a colony on Domus itself.
Continued...Since Domus' moon surrounds the portal that leads to the Abyss, it is the primary route used by the Yeth to enter the Realm of Domus. Becuase of this the Tithons have had many conflicts against the Yeth, and still have an ongoing war.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Tithons are among the most alien races found in Altûŕ, which also makes them distrusted by other races.
