The Second Generation of Theoi
The Fosað are the second generation of Theoi, they are the Celestials first attempt at creating new life. They were essentially experiments and most became abominations; however, they were still the first children of the Celestials making them extremely powerful beings second only to their parents. Most of the Fosað disappeared and went into hiding when the first Ðíos were created, leaving them to be forgotten; however, they still exercise their power from the shadows, revealing themselves to few.
Anatomy & Morphology
They have no set morphology and can change their form freely; however, most take formless shapes of shadow and writhing tentacles.
Genetics and Reproduction
As beings of almost pure power, they have no need for biological functions; however, while some craft their offspring by guiding souls to create new life, others have adapted to create life through biological means.
While their ability of thought and memory are far beyond that of mortal races, their true intellect and wisdom come from the ages they have lived through.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
The Fosað are nigh-omnipotent, allowing them to perceive nearly every area of the universe through sight, hearing, and even smell. Some also practice prophetic sight, looking into possible futures.
Civilization and Culture
Before the emergence of mortal races the Fosað and other Theoi had no need for names or language; however, since then they have developed a basic tongue. Their names take the form of titles or embodiments of ideas and concepts. For example, the name of Celestial known as Coðos means the embodiment of balance, "Coð" meaning balance and the suffix "os" meaning embodiment.
The first Fosað arrived around the year -600000 about 300000 years after the Celestials. Yet, despite being younger than the Celestials, even less is known about their history, which is why they are also known as the Forgotten Ones. While they've undoubtedly had their fingers in many events that have happened through the ages, the only event historians are sure of is Křacos' hand in creating the Makhai for the side of chaos during the First War.
