Qualifications
The basic qualifications for tru guards are almost none, but the higher ranks in the military does not only require many years of service, but also high education and repeated signs of loyalty. The bar is set low for the basic Tru Guards as the military wants a high recruitment into the military, but progression often requires both physical training and education.
Career Progression
Within the Trugarian Military there are many ranks and specialized positions. A person can progress in many ways, some of the most common ways to progress are either prolonged service or a higher education. There are also cases of soldiers being rewarded higher ranks after great deeds or mercenaries or trusted allies of the empire who are put in positions of authority within the empire.
Payment & Reimbursement
Payments within the trugarian military varies highly. The lowest payment averages 5 gold per month, but the higher ranks can pay thousands a month.
Other Benefits
For the lower ranks of the military the benefits are significant and life chaning. Most soldier have access to shelter, education and food by just serving. While higher ranks have access to quality living, territory and personal safety.
Perception
Purpose
Tru Guards' first purpose is to oversee the laws within the Empire and protect the innocents. They also have other smaller jobs like protecting important people, cargo and buildings for both the Empire and their allies.
Social Status
A soldier's social statues is highly dependant on their rank within the military. Lower ranks are mostly respected by the common folk, but in some kingdoms their pressence is seen as controversial. The higher ranks are well respected and high in society within the military and often in noble society.
Demographics
Around 5% of the population within the Trugarian Empire are currently working as Tru Guard Soldiers. The percentage has gone down with the rapid increase in population in the last hundreds of years but the size has never been higher.

A common Tru Guard is often seen carrying a long sword, spear, shield and a set of shackles. They also wear a chain shirt with red details and a red cloak. Higher ranking members are often either given better equipment or buys their own. Magical equipment is also often rewarded as part of a promotion or a great deed.
Dangers & Hazards
There are some dangers in being a Tru Guard as they are meant to put their life before any innocents of the Empire, but the risks they face are risks they signed up for. Deaths are very rare for Tru Guards as most just end up hurt in most conflicts but the chance of death is still there however slim it might be.
