Alcari

The beings known as Alcari are the stuff of legends, dreams and nightmares. Born from the chaotic energies of the The First War or created by the first 5 deities for use during First War, the Alcari are beings of frightening power. After the First War many of these beings were either imprisoned or entered a sort of hibernation hidden all throughout Aloran. Many of the Alcari, good, evil, and neutral, have small cult like followings all over the world but closer to secluded areas and parts of the world where the powers of civilization is the weakest. Many mortals who form pacts with entities in return for power often find out that their patron is an Alcari.

Major Spirits

In the time before there was a pantheon of Gods and Goddesses able to oversee the world spirits of the dead freely roamed the mortal plane with no after life to move onto. Many such spirits gathered great enough power to be worshipped, or feared, by the living. Most historians consider the worship of spirits to be the first religion. After the Pantheon came to Aloran, most mortals began to forget the spirits in favor of the Pantheon and the various afterlives they offered. Those few that follow the old religion are often viewed as cultists or heretics by the various churches of the Pantheon. Major Spirits and their followers often have a closer relationship with each other than the religions of the Pantheon.
