The Chittor are a species of sentient crustaceans that dwell in the oceans and seas of Aloran. They resemble huge lobsters that are slightly taller than the average humans. The Chittor are perfectly adapted to the deepest parts of Aloran's waters. Over the ages, the Chittor have rightly earned a reputation as war hungry expansionists and often wage war on their ancient allies, the Triton and the Sharkfolk
Age Chittor live long lives, starting with hatching also called a Chittar, which they remain as for a few years before metamorphosing into an adult Chittor, with a lifespan stretching to over a century. Alignment Concerned with their underwater empires and expanding their reach outwards, Chittor are mostly neutral or evil. Size Fully grown Chittor stand at between 5 and 7 feet tall when upright. Amphibious You can breathe air and water. Claws Your large claws make you less manually dexterous than other races, but make up for it with crushing power. Unarmed strikes you make deal 1d6 Bludgeoning damage + your Strength modifier. You have disadvantage on any checks made to interact with or handle items that are designed for use of races with hands. Cold Resistance You have resistance to cold damage. Darkvision With your species originating in the shadowy depths of ocean trenches, you can see in dim light within 60 feet as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. Natural Armor You have a tough rigid carapace. When you aren't wearing armor, your AC is 13 + your Dexterity modifier. You can use your natural armor to determine your AC if your armor would leave you with a lower AC. A shield's benefits apply normally while you use your natural armor.

Growth Rate & Stages
The Chittor have two stages. The first stage is known as the Chittar. Chittar are the young of this race. They often shed their shells and in many cases grow disproportionally. Once they have fully matured they are considered a Chittor.
Ecology and Habitats
Chittor are capable of living above and below water. Having originated from the depths of Aloran's oceans and seas they prefer the water over the air.
Civilization and Culture
Once part of the now splintered kingdom of Hydronia, the Chittor were seen as the bottom dwellers of the ocean. When Hydronia lost their power and different groups began leaving to forge their own path, the Chittor relocated to The Deep Sea Block Link
