Grand Priest

Grand Priest, Leader of Westmarch and One True Protector of the Realm Unknown

The Grand Priest is the leader of the people of faith that reside in the region of Westmarch. A stern and wise elder, The Grand Priest has served his goddesses of justice and honor for decades, the utmost authority on, and highest power in the land short of, Iomedae and Sarenae. The Grand Priest Is rumored to have met the goddesses at one point during his ancient life, even being rumored by some to have been sent to this realm by the goddesses themselves to spread their word in this land and maintain justice and truth. The Grand Priest seems to have answers to most questions asked of him, always seeking to provide knowledge to those that make an effort to seek it. The people of the High Monastery, and even Westmarch, deemed him their leader for times of hardship and for wisdom, not by his say. Nobody in the monastery has lived long enough to see the Grand Priest in his youth, and his true name is a mystery among all who reside in the monastery, maybe even Westmarch as well.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Though The Grand Priest seems to be centuries old by all accounts, he maintains the appearance of a man in his 60's, with the physical ability of someone decades younger. He is privy to leading training sessions with some of the newer temple-goers, and has even been known to spar with the more experienced members of the temple. His full physical capabilities are unknown however, as he has never been seen in traditional combat and tends not to use his abilities.

Body Features

The Grand Priest has a dominating stature, tall and lean with a fit muscular physique. His skin is a light shade of bronze, and his limb long with plenty of reach.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Very little is truly known about the history of The Grand Priest, as he keeps most personal information about himself and is life a secret to himself alone. Attempts to uncover his history from the tomes of The Great Library have proved foolish, as any text that should hold tellings of his endeavors and interactions seem to be unnaturally scrubbed of his mere existence. Whether his past is shrouded in history to cover shady dealings and sinister secrets, or he has truly put his life aside for the betterment of the realm and service of the gods, many believe it will never be discovered.

Education

The Grand Priest claims that he has trained and studied at the High Monastery for its entire history, however it is not known how old either entity is. As such, none know which came first and thus whether he might have additional training beyond the borders of Westmarch.

Employment

The Grand Priest is the leader and founder of the Church of Iomedae in Westmarch, and as such he runs and maintains the High Monastery and upholds the responsibilities of the head priest. Anything prior to his founding of the Church is unknown.

Mental Trauma

The Grand Priest rarely expresses emotion beyond compassion and support and has never been known to even flinch in any situation of remote danger or lose his composure, so it is commonly believed among the temple-goers that the Grand Priest is wholly fearless.

Morality & Philosophy

The Grand Priest believes in the tennets of valor, honor, justice, redemption, healing, and honesty as associated with Iomedae and Sarenrae respectively.
