Paragon of the Energetic

The Aspect of Light, known as Arahayl in Low Athrixiaii, is argued to be the most powerful and most difficult to master of the Aspects. Within the domain of Arahayl lies the entire electromagnetic spectrum and energy in general. Light mages begin by learning spells that allow them to perceive the entire spectrum, opening a hidden world. Arahayl mages can unleash devastating beams of pure energy (known as light-fire) and traveling near instantaneously. For this reason, other Arahayl mages are crucial in defending armies from such an onslaught, and gravity mages are also useful in slowing down the path of light-fire. At its peak, Arahayl also incorporates nuclear processes but only the Terappan Empire's Incandesce have achieved such power, which served to make them nigh-unstoppable until the Strife. Arahayl mages can also increase the growth rate of crops and can bend light around themselves to vanish from view.
In traditional Azarian symbology Arahayl is associated with the color white, while Thassacartan cultures associate the Aspect with the heptagram. Common terms for a light mage include bright mage, erozael, photurge, and luximancers.
