The Queen of the Goddess Prophecy

Among the Wise Ones and followers of the Goddess no myth has been more important in the Second Era than the one about the Queen that was to restore balance and peace on Alma.   It had many versions and retellings. The original was said to have been first pronounced by the famous Seeres Ithyllia, living allegedly in the First Era, in the ancient sanctuary at Mount Erodont.   The common details accross different versions promised the arrival of an exceptional woman, who would become powerful and by attaining great wisdom would be able to establish peace and natural order in the world and would rule in a just way, respected by all.   There was some disagreement around the identity of the person herself. Most scholars of prophecies said the Queen would be a very powerful Mistress of Magic or Priestess, who gained special guidance from the Goddess and attained wisdom unknown to others. The extent of her power wasn't clear - even though the most well-known version of the Prophecy originated in Elaria, it was known in the Empire, and many other kingdoms, and the believers in each of them thought it was indeed their own country that was talked about.   Some people however, especially amongst the common folk - the few who knew about this story at all - believed that the Queen would actually be an incarnation of the Goddess herself. Being that, she would be infallible and eternal. Once she came to Alma, all kingdoms would be slowly surrendered to her power, and she would guide all humans towards blissful existence.   Most scholars dismisses such notions, and claimed perfection on Alma was not possible. Whatever good would come of the reign of the Queen people would still suffer and die, because such was the nature of life. But the power of the other myth was strong, and who can blame the common people?
