Creation of the World

Everything began with a single, powerful drop of energy. It divided into two and then three, creating Shadow, Light, and Twilight.

Umbra, the celestial of Shadow. They were the first to awaken and form a physical shape. They lacked an appearance that mortals would grasp; instead, they bent and shifted darkness into any shape they pleased. Black as pitch, void of color, and never-ending darkness.

Lumin, the celestial of Light. They formed next, appearing as a fluid ball of light. Brilliant, ever shining, undying.

Evarae, the celestial of Twilight. She was the last to gain physicality. She was a beautiful ever-shifting flux between light and dark. The deepness of black, blue, and purple; the luminosity of pink, orange, and soft purple. All of it at once.

Umbra and Lumin fought endlessly, pulling Evarae in the middle of their quarrels, but the celestial could only handle so much.
She confronted the two.

“I can no longer be a mediator for the battles fought.” She said.
Umbra softened their rage and looked to her. They nodded their head as they came to see how cruel they were being to drag her into the fray. “I apologize, my dear Evarae.” They thought for a moment before speaking once more, “I have an idea, but it will take cooperation.”

Lumin would not hear any of what Umbra had to say. They were blinded by the pure hatred they held in their heart. No cooperation would be had, not while they were there.
“Calm, Lumin. I would like to hear this suggestion and you should listen as well..”
They peered at her and waited for Umbra to speak more. Unlike Umbra, Evarae was half Light, thus making her pure of heart and mind. If she wanted to hear out the suggestion, then they would also try.
“Let us create a world together. This land should be equal parts light, dark, and twilight. I will rule over the dark, Lumin the light, and Evarae the twilight. What say you?”
Lumin’s automatic reaction was rejection until they glanced back at a rather excited Evarae. They nodded, agreeing.

And so, the three joined hands and called upon a piece of themselves. In between them was a glow of vibrant colors as their droplets of energy fuzed together. They focused harder and after some time, the energy could sustain itself.

He opened his eyes and looked to the faceless silhouettes of the celestials who called him to awaken. “I am Ilorin,” he spoke softly.

Ilorin grew in strength quickly and dreamt of the future. As he slumbered, a rocky planet formed in the darkness.

When he woke from his dreams, he looked to the other three celestials and smiled. “I call this Allora. It is going to be beautifully bright and dark and everything in between. I have seen it.”
Lumin scowled at the thing called Allora. “Where is the light? All I see is darkness and Umbra’s greedy soul.”
Ilorin pressed his lips together in a thin line. He could see why they were upset, but he couldn’t help but roll his eyes at the ball of light. “You are the Light for the world! Surely an ego as large as yours can think of a solution.”

Lumin seethed at the abhorrence of the newest celestial. They left the group to think in the vast darkness that was all around them. They sparked with rage as they left and these sparks drifted further and further away but not once did they fade. How peculiar, they thought.

An idea struck them and they gathered as much energy as they could and sent it out into the void. They watched with glee as the rocky planet was now illuminated, even if it was only on one side.

Lumin went back to the group, proud of their accomplishment. This sent more sparks flying off the celestial and out into the space around them.

Evarae smiled with glee at the shining ball of light many times larger than the celestial in front of her. “I have a wonderful idea!” She exclaimed and drifted over to the rocky planet. She copied the form of Ilorin, although many times larger than him, and grabbed the planet. With one swift movement, she pushed it from its standstill position and caused it to spin around the ball of light. “Now all of the world will be bathed in light, dark, and twilight!”

And thus the universe was created.
