The Treaty at Amberfall

No one speaks much of the time before The Peace. The time before Amberfall's existence. Before Amberfall were centuries of war and destruction. Fighting clans and factions of various races claiming land and rights fought to the death. Countless wars were won and lost due to cultural differences and intolerance. All of it ended abruptly when the leaders of the four main oppositions met with the intent of ending the wars for good, thus creating The Treaty at Amberfall.

Elves, Dwarves, Humans, and Orcs warred against each other for generations. Deep seeded hatred fueled their actions. Every faction thought their point of view correct and despised all others. No one living knows why the wars started, but it can be inferred that the factions simply wanted to conquer. Generation after generation of bloodshed and hardships meant that each faction kept to itself and its close racial allies. Leaders came and went warring through the ages, but as time went on rumors of hypocrisy started to arise. As more diverse races started to ally themselves with various factions, seeds of doubt crept into the minds of the nobility.
"If Elves can tolerate elves from the sea, why can we not tolerate Orcs from the deserts?" - Prince Fi

The prince of the Western Elves, Fi, sent word to each faction leader in hopes of stopping the relentless warring on the wings of a white raven. One to the Eastern Humans and their King Arrthas. One to the Southern Orcs and their Warchief Sharn. The last to the Northern Dwarves and their King Turunaar. The note to each asking humbly to meet in an unclaimed region in the middle of their respective kingdoms to discuss openly the possibility of peace. Much to mosts surprise the leaders agreed to a parlay. In the plains between the Mithril Ridge and the Turunak Mountains the leaders met. Hundreds of unarmed citizens followed them and set their camps around the central tent where the leaders debated. For thirty days and thirty nights the leaders met and discussed. On the morning of the thirty-first day, dozens of ravens were carted into the tent, only to be released in a cloud of black wings moments later. After the ravens dispersed the four leaders strode out of the tent together laughing as if they had been friends their entire lives instead of mortal enemies.

On that day The Peace was made, and Lothlonde would be forever one nation. The witnesses spread the word quickly and the meeting site soon became a sacred place with many people opting to stay and settle the area.

This place would later become known as Amberfall.
