The Order of the Glowing Dawn

A longtime partner to the governing council of Amberfall, The Order of the Glowing Dawn has been the justice of the ancient city. From the initial settling of the city when the Amber Waterfall rose, there had been a need for a force able to carry the hand of the law to citizens that did not abide by The Peace and other laws made through history. The Archwarrior leads The Order of the Glowing Dawn and sits on the council of Amberfall alongside the city's Open Lord.


The Open Lord of Amberfall hand picks from a group of elite warriors in The Order of the Glowing Dawn to be The Archwarrior when a new one is required. The Archwarrior serves for life and is only removed from office if they have either passed into the next life or if they have been proven guilty of any crime. No governing person in Amberfall is above a law they produce, especially the hand that serves the sentence. The Order of the Glowing Dawn is responsible for keeping The Peace within the walls of Amberfall. They are trained rigorously both in combat and in the complex law system that governs Amberfall. Every member, from the lowest Guard to The Archwarrior themself, can recite the Code of Amberfall and is expected to hold themselves, any citizens they may encounter, and those above and below them in the ranks to its standards.


They are named The Order of the Glowing Dawn because of the armor they wear that shines a bright amber color in the daytime sun. Their sigil a glowing sunrise on a white field. Every member is always clad in a Tabard of the Glowing Dawn as to denote the faction they belong to.
