Cult vs. Queen Na'Daer's Knights of the Wood
Before the Cult of Ubok'Yigg had destroyed the Great Acacia tree, they had set out to find the exact location and neighboring cities of each tree. Secretly tracking across Lothlonde to all corners scouring for information and the colossal World Trees, the Cult came upon The Praery Woods, Queen Na'Daer, and The Bear King. At first, the Cult only watched, they knew the Woods were under the protection of some military force, and Arrlonde. They soon realized they had crept too close and the Bear King was on their trail.
Not much gets passed the Bear King's wards without him or the Queen knowing. Unsure who the intruders where the Bear King and his band of Red Forest tribesmen went to meet the Cult head-on. Being the overly kind man he is, the Cult immediately attacked him unsuspectingly and wounded the King, killing several of his tribesmen in the process. Being forced to retreat, this was the first time since the Praery Woods were sanctified that any conflict had come about. The Bear King went to Queen Na'Daer of Eirastir and requested the aid of The Knights of the Wood, a force of elves only used for the protection of the Woods, as their culture was strictly pacifist.
With the force of The Knights of the Wood behind him, The Bear King and his Red Forest tribesmen searched for the cult members that had attacked them. They searched days before finding a trail leading deep into the woods. Following the trail, the militia stumbled upon an underground facility that the cult had created in the time they were healing and gathering themselves. Inside they fought tooth and nail against the full might of the cult. They had managed to summon an avatar of their god, as well as create a portal to filter in backup cult troops for any that fell. For seven days and seven nights The Knights, Bear Kind, and Red Forest tribesmen fought, and with heavy casualties, they came out victorious. Driving the cult back through their portal and the avatar destroyed they dismantled the portal and hid the location of the settlement.
