The World War

The World war was the biggest and most devastating war in the history of Hamridt. The world was never the same afterward. An outlaw era began. The war started in 1601 AC and ended in 1608 AC.

The Conflict

Prelude

Prior to the world war it had been a cold war between the superpowers The Greater Grondor Reich and The Kingsbrough Union. But unknown to them a huge evil army led by Lord Grantel was preparing to invade Alias on the order from Kalysi.

Deployment

Before the war, it was Grondor Reich who had the largest army and the greatest supply of resources. They controlled large parts of East Alias. Kingsbrough union had also strengthened their army, but they did not have access to as much resources as Grondor. Grondor also had deployed forces in Oxgroc along the border with Ugandluhia where the pacifist elves lived.

Battlefield

1601

The war started at the end of 1601 when the dark wizard Lord Glorak servant of Kalysi attacked and invaded the UWU island southwest of Ugandluhia. The attack came from a portal within the great UWU temple. The opening of the portal resulted in a huge explosion and through it came the legions of monsters (corrupted beings) The Wizard capital Grantel was completely destroyed and its people purged. The Island was turned into a wasteland where the dark armies were preparing to invade the rest of Alias. When the news of the fall of the United Wizard union reached the Grondor Reich they attacked their elven enemies. The Grondor Reich destroyed many of the Mayor cities in Ugandluhia with their new experimental superweapon (The Zerstéierung) Then they launched a full-scale invasion from their colonies in Oxgroc. The United Elven Force of Ugandluhia and The Kingsborugh Union were shocked by the attacks and they also blamed the Grondor Reich for destroying the UWU. They then declared war on the Grondor Reich.

1602

1602 saw huge wars on the border between Ugandluhia and Oxgroc. The Grondor Reich was trying to push into Ugandluhia, but they were held back by the elven armies. The Kingsbrough union was also gathering resources and building up their armies so that they could join the war. But they had a few delays which was caused by a corruption scandal in their government. On the other side of the world, several small uprisings started in the continent of Zeledo.

1603

In 1603 the war in Oxgroc continued. Grondor Reich pushed further into Ugandluhia. Ugandluhia was still very paralyzed after the first attack so they did not have much to stand against the mighty Grondor Reich. Fortunately for the elves, Kingsbrough had sent thousands of troops to Klivenrale, Constantifon and to Brearus north in Oxgroc. At the same time, a civil war started in Zeledo. It was fought between those who were supporters of Grondor Reich and those who were for liberation. New Hellington also declared war on the Grondor controlled islands in the hundred islands home to the zoroks.

1604

In 1604 large parts of Zeledo was liberated as a result of The Grondor Reich pulling their troops out. This was also the case in the hundred islands. Owen City in Lankata in Kingsbrough was also liberated from the Grondor Reich allied militech by the Owen ressistance movement. Alex Azer who had been in control of Owen since the city was taken by the militech fled to Marxham. Seeve Industries later bought large parts of AzerCorp along with a 5-year contract with militech. In the summer of 1604 the Grondor troops were pushed out of Ugandluhia by the Kingsbrough and elven troops. But The Grondor Reich still held Risenhard, Mayhem, and Kraxos in Oxgroc. Later that year a meeting between the parts was held on the raft city of Mölde. Their goal was to develop a truce between the warring parties. The meeting failed and the parts went home without a deal. By the end of the year, the Grondor Reich pulled all of their troops out of Oxgroc, Zeledo and the hundred islands. They then sent a legion of soldiers to the ice wastes to support their allied nomadic tribes against the Kingsbrough allied nomadic tribes. The kingsbrough union did not want to send troops north to support their allied so Sevrin Seeve of Owen sent militech to fight the Grondor Reich in the north.

1605

When the year 1605 began there were fought huge sea battles in the Altanic Sea. The Kingsbrough union had heard words about the Grondor plan to invade the eastern coast of Kingsbrough so they mobilized their troops in Exas and Holidah. Their huge fleet was sent to the coast to create a shield of ships along the coastline. The Grondor Reich then sent their infamous eight fleet to start operation Hjalmar Hans. (the operation to invade and conquer Kingsbrough) Lord Glorak sat sail with his strong and evil legions to conquer the world when the naval fighting in the Altanic sea was at its highest. Glorak first arrived on the southern coast of Constantifon in Ugandluhia. Ugandluhia had been left defenseless and their troops were sent north to Kingsbrough and east to Oxgroc. Lord Glorak burned his way through Ugandluhia and decimated their lands. The western allies tried to fight them, but they were outnumbered. They now had to fight a war on two fronts. By summer Lord Glorak had conqured both Ugandluhia and Oxgroc. He then split his army. One half was to cross the Gossip sea and invade Kingsbrough. The other half which was led by General Dodïm was sent to conquer Marxham and the eastern world. When realizing the threat from Glorak, Supreme Leader Zeuss III of Grondor ordered a temporary alliance between Kingsbrough and The Grondor Reich. Meanwhile in the Ice Wastes the war was going in Seeves favour. He and militech was now closing in on the borders to Arkangliz. By the end of the year the largest army in the history of Alias was gathered in the sand sea to protect Marxham from General Dodïm's evil legions. A huge army was also gathered in Exas to protect Kingsbrough from Lord Glorak who was sailing over the Gossip Sea.

1606

In 1606 huge battles were fought in Exas and in Marxham. Dodïm's forces were pushing into Marxham towards Grondoria to put an end to The Greater Grondor Reich. Meanwhile Seeve had returned to Owen city with militech to support the war in the south. But Owen city was attacked by General Pumpkin who had tamed an ancient ashen dragon. The pumkin burned the city, but Sevrin Seeve's brother Hagbart Seeve killed it and together with a Seeve and the remaining militech the defeated the Pumpkin. By the end of the year the Kingsbrough union was losing much territory in Holidah. In Marxham The Holy Alias Church's army was sent to help the Grondor Reich with the battle against Dodïm.

1607

1607 saw many more battles in Kingsbrough and Marxham. The Kingsbrough union had begun to push back Glorak's forces, but they started to lack resources. Glorak's forces, on the other hand, were reinforced all the time with new troops from the portal. The same happened in Marxham. Although they got heavy reinforcement from the dwarven clans and Dodïm had no access to the portal. In late 1607 a huge meeting between all the free nations in Alias was held on the luxury raft city of Monte Bight. It was the Seeve brothers who held the meeting. They wanted to gather a huge army with troops from all of Alias to invade the Glorak occupied UWU island and to destroy the portal.

1608 The End

In spring 1608 a last alliance of the free people of Alias went to the UWU island. A huge battle was fought there, but they managed to bring down the portal and thus closing the gate to the Nuther. After fighting of the remaining monsters on the UWU island they went to the poorly defensed Ugandluhia and liberated it. Glorak had almost conquered the Capitol when he heard of the fall of the portal. He was furious and sent his army to slaugther the last alliance army. The two armies met in Hagle valley in Holdiah. The battle was the biggest in the history of Alias. It was also long and the casualities were high. But Glorak was defeated and his armies banished to the nuther. Most of Glorak's army was destroyed, but a large portion fled. In Marxham general Dodïm was defeated in a final battle in the city of Grondoria by the Alias Church and the dwarven clans. The largest war in the history of Alias ended.

1609 Aftermath

After the war the Kingsbrough union fell into chaos. The Greater Grondor Reich collapsed. And remaning monsters of the Glorak army became unwelcome part of the world.
