History

St. Owen City was founded in the year 765 by Lord Ulvuvch Seeve. Lord Seeve had traveled north to today's Lankata when the climate there began to calm down. He started a mining colony which later became Owen City. The name Owen comes from Ovvin, which was an ancient city in the north before the cataclysm.   In the centuries that followed, Owen City was an important and strategic city in the many wars that took place in Kingsbrough. As the wars calmed down and a unified Kingsbrough was created, Owen City was a powerful, but run-down city. It was the mafia and Seeve industries that made sure everything went well.   In the late 16th century, when the tension was highest between The Grondor Reich and Ugandluhia, Owen City was taken over by The Pumpkin. Owen City was then declared a lawless area until AzerCorp won the city back. AzerCorp had formed an alliance with The Grondor Reich after being thrown out of the capital. Grondor Reich had long wanted the Owen district in Lankata so that they could put pressure on Kingsbrough, an ally of Ugandluhia. The Grondor Reich and Azer finally got Owen city after promising to rebuild it to its former heyday.   The Grondor Reichs militech ruled Owen City with an iron hand and built large defenses around the city. But a small resistance movement emerged in the heart of Owen City. When the world war began, the resistance group kicked out the Grondor Reich and Alex Azer fled to Marxham. When independent Owen city had to send resources and soldiers to support the Kingsbrough union and the elven forces of Ugandluhia. Seeve made a contract with militech and took control over them. He soon sent the militech to the ice wastes to fight against Grondor supported tribes. In Owen there was no one i charge so there was chaos. Landmarks and buildings from Grondor were destroyed and the city was on the brink of collapse. After Seeve went north it was the crime syndicate who took control of the city. When Seeve returned to Owen city he kicked out James Donovan who had poorly ruled the city. Things got worse for the city when Glorak invaded Kingsbrough and the economy crashed in the continent. Owen City was invaded by General Pumpkin under Lord Glorak. Fortunately, the invasion was stopped by Hagbart Seeve and the pumpkin was arrested. But the damage that was done was huge and the casualties were high. The city saw no more conflict during the war, but it started to fell apart. Even though Lord Glorak lost the war in 1607 the Kingsbrough union fell and so did the organized society in much of the continent.   When the Final Act event happened in 1610 AC a new resistance movement was founded in Owen City. It consisted of volunteers, ex militech members, the police force, the crime syndicate of Owen city's forces, some wizards, some ex kingsbrough troops and some Ra Gul members. This resistance movement was called Owen Resitance Movement (ORM) The movement managed to destroy the Superior at the last minute before they completed the Final Act. The following years were bad for the city. The big corporation moved out of the city and dozens of poor countryside people moved to the collapsing city. The slum spread and in 1611 AC it was Seeve industries that managed to keep the city from falling apart. Seeve industries worked hard to give every citizen a job.   in 1611 AC a great wall was buildt around the city by Seeve industries and the guild of engineers to protect the city from the dangerous out country.
