The Heavenly Science, or the Imaginatus

The Heavenly science, also called the Imaginatus in some dimensions, to put it simply - is the laws that bound the subconscious mind and the universe. In understanding these laws, an Affector can elevate their state of consciousness to gain more control over the fabric of reality.

Bases of the Heavenly Science

This life - the Grand Illusion is but a vague representation of what lies outside of the Grand Illusion: madness, and the true essence of good and evil.
This means that our reality is an illusion fabricated from the thoughts of God that manifested itself as frequency, energy, and vibration.
But what does this mean? Nothing is truly solid. However, everything you see is made up of these spiritual building blocks. Even our consciousness is made of this ancient energy, that has been manipulated in a complex way to allow it to become aware of itself and of the universe surrounding it, which has also been manifested to appear solid and physical.
But don't be fooled. We may be spiritual beings having a "physical" experience, but to properly meld the fabric of reality, one must understand that the world around them isn't as real as they may think it to be. There is no such thing as physical matter, for all things are just energy in a state of vibration, manifesting themselves as different forms in this illusory reality

Branches of the Heavenly Science

The Mind Branch

The mind branch tends to be favoured by artists. And it's no wonder. You see, there are different frequency waves, or channels spreading throughout the Multiverse. When we tune our mind to a certain wave, we can pull knowledge from that channel, resulting in newfound inspiration, epiphanies, and dreams. Yes, when you dream, or when you imagine distant, fantastical or dystopian worlds, you imagine worlds that exist elsewhere beyond perceivable reality, or the realities that could have been in your world (seeing into different versions of one dimension). The same goes for dreams, however they tend to be vaguer - a moshpit of different info taken throughout the cosmos, that when combined, doesn't make much sense. We get mixed signals, and an unclear message, thus resulting in an unclear, rubbish dream.

However, we could be in control of our dreams, and use it to interact one on one with people from another dimension - whether they be sleeping or awake (however, it's found to be easier when both communicators are alseep, as they are in the same state of consciousness). Some dreamers in your world may have accomplished that feat already.
Let me ask you, do you know anybody with repeating, vivid dreams, that they have no control over? Dreams that feel like a second life? Dreams they feel like they've spent entire lifetimes in?
Chances are, the world they found themselves in, and the people they spoke with, were members of a distant dimension, or an alternative reality, speaking either inside a common dream fabricated by the combined imagination of the dream party, or one particular dreamer.
However, if they are speaking within the real, waking world of one member, the foreigner would be seen as a ghost, or if the native is a child (or someone with a relatively powerful mind) an imaginary friend, who's not quite imaginary, but a specter of a far away soul.

Uses

With the mind branch, one can

• tap into the past, and future occurrences that could unfold in a particular location - a tool useful for gaining intelligence (However, for low-level Affectors, this knowledge would come across as emotions, and vague notions used to represent an event)
• Attach a "built-in memory" Into a location or object, who the Affector engraved with his or her thoughts and emotions, that can be accessed by other affectors with the same abilities - a method to send more private messages with sensitive information.
• Infest the mind of their victim, implanting thoughts, voices, and notions, that if played in excess could turn them mad.

In the most powerful acts of the mind branch, one aspect can pull from other realities and dimensions, into their home world. One example was a young Affector, Jaiden Valdez, who could summon what he called "Denizens", into his reality just by imagining them. These denizens were in fact Eldritch creatures and ascended affectors he saw in the distant cosmos, that he brought into his realm through tears in reality. He learned the hard way, that not all "denizens" would bend to his will, so he found t useful to gain the trust of these interdimensional creatures via dreams, where they will build a bond, and secure their relationship. Jaiden even befriended a fellow human being, who was previously his... "Fictional" character. It's a strange universe we live in...

The Elemental Branch

This branch of the heavenly science, also known as the physical branch by those unknowing of the illusory nature of reality, is the most popular branch that is outwardly weaponized in many worlds, including Aldreyan. The reason being is that it cuts out the deep philosophical knowledge required in some fields and leaves in the more practical and hands-on aspects.
In a familiar form, properties such as water, fire, air, and earth are common materials that are manipulated across many realities (Which do count as elements by numerous cultures). However, some people can manipulate the elements to a deeper level.
For one, an Affector (maestro, or reality bender depending on where you're from), can manipulate the more fundamental elements, such as hydrogen, oxygen, helium, neon, and many others, which allows them to create ideal environments for volatile attacks, or supernatural feats of healing done by the heavenly science.
But this can go into metaphysical properties, such as the progression of time, magnetism, gravity, a planet's telluric currents, and temperature, then onto cosmic energy, and frequencies, which allows the elemental branch to evolve to more cosmological levels.

The Eldritch/Divine Branch (heretical, or holy)

The Eldritch/Divine branch is the most powerful of all. When someone obtains cosmic, interdimensional strength from this branch, they are tied to something far greater than themselves. Whether it be from Eldritch beings, an Ascended Affector (Principality), or the powers beyond the Great Illusion, such as the source of darkness - Fallen Angel Lucifer, or the source of the divine - The All Maker (or known simply as God).
These beings seem completely different in their nature. And they are. However, what do they have in common?
They are beings who bestow sublime or otherworldly powers on their pupils, cutting out (for the most part) the intense training, deep scholarly work, and self-improvement needed for spiritual breakthroughs.
Most mediums for power, such as the ones mentioned, have a standard rule - they bestow power and transcendent knowledge onto their followers, but in return, they either receive a curse or a list of instructions they must follow, either it is for a mission or a change in their entire way of life. If one forsakes these commandments, the follower may have their powers weakened, or revoked.

Typical Nature of Certain Mediums

For one, eldritch beings and ascended Affectors can be either moral or immoral. So from these cosmic beings, one could receive a shortcut to bending the fabric of existence, but it's not without the chances of a condition attached to it that could accompany the fellowship of such a being. With the morality of a human being or worst, their intentions can vary.
If one gains power from Fallen Angel Lucifer, it's likely they will enjoy free reign of the deep esoteric knowledge of the universe, and gain some abilities from the heavenly science, but in exchange for their soul, and their hope of eternal glory.
As for God, he can grant his followers (Advents - a rare class of affectors) the power to execute miracles, that is, sublime acts of the heavenly science that would nearly be impossible to achieve by one's own consciousness, thus creating a shortcut to the mysteries of the cosmos. However, one must devote lifelong obedience to the creator. If one fails at that, one could have their powers revoked, weakened, or cursed in some other manner.

Expulsion of the "Imagination Branch"

Because of the uniqueness of the abilities that are harnessed by one's imagination, such as creating ripples to other realities, the "Imagination Branch" used to be considered its own separate unit. However, due to the similarity to the mind branch that allows for seeing into other realities (which is what the Imagination branch did, but more intimately) the Imagination category was erased from present scholarly works. There are plenty of scholars who would debate against this change, but they do so in vain.
