PRINCIPALITY

"We think we are our bodies - little specks of dust placed in this grand array of cosmic powers. We think we are victims - playthings for the Old Ones. But in truth, we are greater. Far greater. For our subconscious mind stretches all throughout this universe, and interacts with other distant universes far beyond our reach without us knowing. But we can only unlock our potential if we master the Heavenly Science - the very rules our soul and spirit live by, so we can forsake our connection with the physical body and become aware of the astral body, that connects us to the interdimensional web that binds us.   Those that have, became what many might call a "god". But for us who understand that their nature isn't divine, but intellectual, we know them as Principalities."

A Principality, in its higher form, lacks a physical body. The only thing similar to such is their aura that one's spirit can sense, and the cosmic energy they manipulate to form an uncanny, yet empowering avatar of themselves. However, though they may also like to manipulate one's mind so people may perceive them as human or any other comprehensible form, a principality in truth is a metaphysical being, made up of the same cosmic energy that creates everyone's soul.

    Procreation

Now Principalities are seen as "gods", by quite a few. This has led many esotericists and mythologians to ponder of the existence of "demigods". The Principality's way of reproducing is numerous and is not limited to their sexual organs (which is good news, for most Principalities, especially those in the higher levels of enlightenment, don't have any body parts)   1. Cloning (asexual)   A Principality in the desire of an heir, can take one faithful follower (or anyone they choose) and clone their DNA, and manipulate its genetic code to allow for superhuman abilities. Physical enhancements aren't up for debate, but enhancing the child cognitively is a must for building an heir, for an increased curiosity and intelligence leads to a talent in the transcendent arts (The Heavenly Science) that in turn allows them to ascend to some supernatural level early in life, and gain powers mimicking that of the Principality "mother", or "father".   2. "Sexually" (Not explicit. Just hear me out) A Principality with a body (that is mostly in the lower levels of spiritual enlightenment) can reproduce as we would, however, those with an altered body that changed drastically with the transformation of their metaphysical selves (that in due time could fade in and out of existence to their heart's content) may reproduce similarly to the asexual "cloning" technique mentioned, take out a strand of DNA from their more physical form, and tie it to the DNA of another person. However the... intimacy of such a process depends on how worldly a Principality is.   This leads to the mix of both mortal DNA, and the genetic makeup of a cosmic being. This is by far the greatest reproductive choice in creating a powerful heir, for the supernatural traits they would inherit are much more potent, to the point where the child can be born with a heightened level of consciousness that equals to one who's been studying the Heavenly Science for their entire lives.   3. Tulpamancy (Imagination) They can reproduce with their MINDS!   Well, not exactly...   Remember how I mentioned the Great Ones? Well, every Eldritch entity has an origin. Many such beings in the vast cosmos originate as mere thoughts of powerful Principalities - thoughts that were manifested into reality. Though many of their thoughts grow to become horrid, destructive, and wayward, creatures, some are capable of carrying out the will of the Principality (or, in other words, their parent). This method of reproduction isn't one that creates a legitimate child. But, that hasn't stopped many sympathetic Principalities from seeing their tulpas as children. If you think this is silly, you'd be wrong. There is quite a bit of authors out there (you may be included in this group), who esteem their fictional characters so highly, these figments of imagination are like children to these folk.   This is little different.
Principalities aren't all seen as gods in a culture's mythology, but as mystical heroes and villains, such as those in rulership over mythical beings (such as the fae).    Some of these include:   The Erlking, who was once seen as the king of all fairies, and nearly brought humanity's end by turning Aldreyan's Celestial Watcher (The Great One sleeping inside Aldreyan's moon) against humanity.   Calvary, a legend who lured children to enslavement with the seductive melodies played by his flute (frequency manipulation that affects the human psyche),    Mother Earth, a historical figure who became a myth, known for healing, and replenishing nature and wounded souls - a hero to those faithful to her teachings, and an anti-christ, per se, to those who knew her in her mortal life when she betrayed the pacts of the Wynhollow Monks.
