Aldanna

Aldanna is an enormous world with a single Pangea-like Supercontinent. The planet is covered mostly by oceans and a large rainforest known as Father Forest. Father Forest is split into North, South, East, and West regions. A day without rain, mist, or fog is rare. The flora and fauna reflect this as many land organisms borrow features from aquatic ones. The dominant species, known as aquesomas are amphibious humanoids who breathe through both their lungs and their skin. There are several ethnic groups spread throughout the world with varying cultures, but one central culture and a capital. A team of scientists, in an unethical attempt to study improvements to their race created the "perfect lifeform", which combined genetic material from several different species. The creature escaped, and began to terrorize the aquesomas.   There is a desert on this planet known as The Wretchlands, but it is assumed to be uninhabited since the aquesomas are prone to dehydration and therefore would not fare well in that environment. However, there are rumors of outcasts, pioneers, and lunatics who dwell there, away from the other regions.
