Kiril Tork Massacre
Kiril Tork was the place of an infamous slaughter on Vantnax 6, best known for its relatively high casualty count, the unexpected outbreak of violence, and the majority of participants being ordinary citizens instead of military or lawkeepers. It's widely regarded as a reminder of the dangerous nature inherent in any Vant and started the current feverous hunting of Verraten. To this day it remains one of the largest tragedies to occur in the Vantnax System.
The Conflict
Prelude
A small ceremony by the Sunwalkers was being held at Sunset, a normal occurrence, to will the Sun to rise again. A group of Verraten who had been living in the wilderness nearby, driven half-mad by bloodlust, acted on the delusional belief that killing the Sunwalkers would prevent this from happening and protect them from the Sun's punishment. Before this attack there were no known instances of Verraten working together or attacking groups of people, previously preferring to prey on individuals, so this occurrence was entirely unexpected and sent shockwaves across the planets.
Battlefield
The battlefield was the stone circle of Kiril Tork, hence the name.
The Engagement
The Verraten attacked with little warning, being more predatory than most ordinary Vants, and killed the Sunwalkers before most of those watching even knew what was occurring; Verraten rarely worked together or attacked so boldly. Once they realised, however, counter-mobbing instincts took over. The difference in ferocity and experience was clear, but by the time the fight was over the Verraten had all been killed, at the cost of many civilian lives.
Outcome
The establishment of Verraten Hunters and stricter laws about enforcement and engagement were brought in.
Aftermath
Before engaging with any other species Vants are reminded of their violent, predatory possibilities by recounting the details of Kiril Tork. It has influenced not only how Vants engage with other species, but with each other; their law system is considered harsh and brutal by galactic standards.

Legacy
The tragic events that occurred at Kiril Tork have never been forgotten; the entire area has been turned into a tribute to the horrific happenings there and a song is still sung today, in the slow, balladic nature of the Vants, of what happened there.
