Pilgrimage of Snow

The Pilgrimage of Snow is a rite associated with the Church of the Black Zombie, where a disciple would walk all the way, from the First Tomb in the snowy mountains down to the town of Sheleg. It takes place every year in the dead of winter, and participants are usually barefoot and with no provisions. The trip takes three days on average for a healthy adult. It is through this act that worshipers of Saint Ironia the Zombie elevate themselves beyond the status of 'Initiate'.

The average mortality rate of this practice is about a dozen a year.
