Dwarven stylus

This fine style chisel, used widely by Dwarves of all kinds, is specifically designed for carving Khuzdul into stone. Ranging in size from a few specialized human sized ones, to the more standard dwarven one, these tools have easily replaceable tips, connected via some kind of easily reversible magical bonding process. This allows both for use of smaller heads for fine work, such as the engraving needed to participate in a Dwarven Name Ceremony, or to more standard sizes that can quickly bang out some half inch letters with little difficulty. Many of the letters in carved Khuzdul have common elements that can be formed easily with a full chisel length, the point of a chisel, or an angled chisel.
Dwarves refuse to use this tool for anything but writing, they have other chisels and tools that can be used for engraving of details or art, and a good dwarf will always have access to them. However, occasional stories in legend tell of a dwarf being forced to use their stylus as a weapon, which is used both as a symbol of utter despration and of the resiliance of dwarves.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The handle is a pretty solid wooden or stone core wooden cover, which holds the metal holder of the tip, which then holds the tip itself temporarily. The front to back has a metal connection that allows for hammer usage for application of force via hammer.
