The Determination

Invented fifty years prior to Star Fall, the Determination is a 100 foot long train engine which could when built carry over a dozen passenger or cargo cars with it. Since its initial creation in the capital city of Damidia the Determinations reputation has grown tremendously, with tracks being built covering all of Iqoria and Paphora. Travelling on the locomotive is a luxury reserved for only the most elite, and rarely serves as anything more than a pleasure cruise to see different parts of the world.
The Determination was originally created by a team of inventors in Damidia, though it was the brain child of a single scientist named Lukacs Marcell. Lukacs claimed to have the idea after watching a pinwheel moved by a kettle of tea. The name for the train came from a catch phrase of Lukacs which he used to push his team to try to keep up with his overwhelming work efforts, "Come along crew with enough determination and grit we'll get this done in no time!"
During the creation and expansion of the tracks for the determination, the government of Streton paid large sums of money and made several deals with the government of Iqoria to get a single rail line across the straits to connect them. It was determined that the undertaking between Iqoria and Streton would be a feat of engineering beyond their current capabilities, but there was an agreement reach through Paphora that would allow a large bridge be created between Paphora and Streton for The Determination to run on. The undertaking took many decades but was finally completed in 4 Pre Star Fall. Catastrophically with the events of Star Fall just four years later, and the utter destruction of Streton from the fall out the bridge was destroyed and travel became impossible. However there still stands the remnants of the bridge on the shores of Iqoria.
There have been several attempts to copy The Determination, as of yet none have been able to create a working version, and Lukacs and his team are not sharing the secrets to their success. Post Star Fall there have been several modifications made to the main engine and passenger cars of the train. Small augmentations and enchantments which have made it more efficient and capable of carrying more cars at faster speeds than possible prior, as well as several small creature comfort upgrades for the upper class who would be riding.
