King of the Darethian Empire: A self-explanatory title; Robert Dareth sits as king of the Darethian Empire (short: King of Dareth) due to his line establishing the empire some four hundred years before. It is a hereditary title, following agnatic primogeniture, and so passes from father to son.
Lord of Stredisko and Tribrath: Originally two independent realms before being absorbed by the Darethian Empire in its infancy, the cities were reduced to mere Lordships. Stredisko became the capital of the ascendant Empire, whereas Tribrath remained its second city. Due to their central locale in the heartland of the Empire, both Lordships have traditionally been held by the king; though the Lord of Tribtrath is often held by the heir apparent.
Guardian of the Kaerian Gate: The Kaerian Gate refers to both the physical gate at the western border of the Empire and the valley between the Western Ridge and Mor's Spur that holds it. The king is seen as the protector of the gates, being the ultimate authority on whether they are open or closed. Traditionally, in times of peace, the Kaerian Gate remains open, but in times of war, it is closed.
Warden of the Wall: The Wall is another name for The Dreaming Weald, the grand arcane forest at the centre of the continent. Although humanity has barely a presence there, the king has nevertheless held the title of Warden of the Wall for time out of mind.

Arbiter of the Arcane:  Showcasing the mistrust of magic held within the Darethian Court, and their desire to control its spread and use, the king has assumed ultimate judicial authority over who wields magic and who does not—though in reality this is a ceremonial title at best, and all arcane matters are handled by the wizards of the royal court.

Defender of the Faiths: Reflecting the polytheism inherent to the world, the king of Dareth holds as title 'Defender of the Faith'; a sign of their acceptance of this fact, and vow to defend the gods by whom they were appointed.
