David and Daphne Sheldrick

David and Daphne Sheldrick are the founders and directors of the Sheldrick Orphanage and school. It is located right outside the city walls of Nyumbani. The Sheldricks run this place together with their 8 employees. They and their employees as well as the establishment are part of the Guild of Researchers and Educators. It also runs a small farm employing 3 further employees that are part of the Guild of Agriculture. David Sheldrick himself grew up sheltered adopted by a rich human noble family in Mji Kisiwa. He had a very good education and when he became of age he joined the Guild of Researchers and Educators studying to become a teacher. After working for a couple of schools in various places of Gooti he decided to use the wealth he received from his parents will to start an orphanage in the year of 1731 AI with the support and advice of his wife Daphne. Now in the year of 1752 AI they educate and care for 61 children aged 4 to 25 but they are currently building and establishing an addition of a nursery for younger orphans on top of another house to extend the amount of children they can take in. David met Daphne in 1719 at a school in Ziwa where she worked and David just started working. After a while they started a relationship and married in 1726 by which point they had moved to Nyumbani. Daphne took Davids last name which was unusual for Gooti. When she suggested the idea of starting an orphanage that dream started to grow in David. When his adoptive parents died in and explosion in 1729 it hit him very hard and he went into a period of depression during which he barely ever left his home in Nyumbani and stopped teaching. Daphne cared for him to the best of her abilities but grew more and more worried about her husbands well-being. Around a year after the death of Davids parents Daphne initiated plans for the creation of their orphanage which slowly helped Davids motivation. In the middle of 1731 the founding of the orphanage was complete. The orphanage had a rocky start but as their reputation grew so did their "family". In 1737 they built an extension and in 1738 their farm was established. Since 1743 the size of the orphanage stayed the same but the number of inhabitants grew. In 1750 the started on the construction of a bigger extension that is still in construction. David started dabbling in the arcane in the year of 1743 but his main subjects remained Zoology and History. Daphne already had some knowledge of druidic magic from her mother who was a Tamaa druid but settled in Ziwa with her not Tamaa mate for a few years caring for her daughter until leaving again when Daphne was 18 years old. Daphne was the leader of the team that sees to the farm but she teaches botany and some basic engineering.
