Before all time, there was only the realm contained within itself. Light echoed in silence and perpetuity, this world barren, unoccupied, and without dream. But from this absence came the hint of being; and from this hint of being, the Stargazer was born. And when she took her first steps into this plane, she saw it barren and without focus. She was lost in herself at first, but quickly became engrossed with Aintu, the naked world, spinning harmlessly and blanky within the middle plane.   She swept her hand forward and with dedication. She fleshed out the material planes and dotted the stars within the Astral Sea. She raised the Pits of the Deep from beneath her. She unclenched her fists and trees broke through the ground, fully formed. Flowers blossomed at her feet.   And she looked upon her paradise with doubt. She had grown this world with beauty, but yet, She was lonely. And from some divine intelligence, She knew this loneliness would drive her mad.   She meditated inward and separated parts of herself. For her curious nature, her hopes, her passions, she created the Oceancaller, a goddess of complete and utter spectacle. For her security, her protective nature, and her authority, she created the Deepbinder, who's unforgiving face of judgement were the last mortals would see.   With her trinity in council, she was less lonely for a time, but soon the pang of sadness engrossed her heart again. The Oceancaller decided, after some deliberation, to create the mortals, the animals, the beings of flesh--and the Deepbinder, with her focus on the things beneath her, used the power of The Pits to create the demons, the elemental creatures, those of the abyss, and the fiends. The Stargazer, too, not wanting to be alone in this creation, formed the fey, the angels, and the celestial beings above.   But these creations, too, needed guidance. And in their wisdom, the trinity decided they would create a separate force to not only carry on their wishes, but to guide the mortals. And they created the Void Children--The Stargazer created the Swordsman and the King, beings who represented her vision of honor, pride, and power. The Oceancaller created the Hunter and the Mage, two acolytes who would hold the idea of glory, dreams, and passions close to chest. And, finally, the Deepbinder created both the Thief and the Servant, two who would carry out matters of death, who would judge unscrupulously, and who would keep a closer eye on the mortals than most.   These three Gods and their children find worship in many worlds, but most notably their crown jewel--the material realm. Here is where the world of Aintu sits, it's continents vast and without equal, its many island teeming with adventure. With varied political landscapes---most notably the Elven state of the Veaton Parliment, the human Renvoan Kingdom, and the confederacy of Ghaelid--many people find adventures and glory abundant, but others find the works of infamy most appealing. It is up to the party to decide--and to answer for their actions.
