Archmage

One of the arcanists that have exceeded many of the mortal limitations of magic. Practitioners and experimenters in the domain of magic, they seek to covet the unknowns of the universe and discover the possibilities available. Your patron has taken this opportunity to use you as their successor, errand runner and subject for testing their runes and concoctions.

Expanded Spell List

The Archmage lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

4th arcane eye, confusion
5th bigby's hand, legend lore
 

Potent Focus

At 1st level, you forcibly linked to the magical power that your patron possesses, allowing you to empower your casting with greater force. You gain a number of arcane charges equal to your Charisma modifier. When you make damage rolls for one of your spells, you can expend a number of charges. For each charge consumed, one of the damage die can be rerolled.   You can only use this feature once per turn and regain charges at the end of a short or long rest.  

Enlightenment

At 6th level, you spend 1 minute to ritually contact your patron and can ask him one question based on known mystic or historical focus. Your patron will answer in a manner beffitting the DM's discretion. The patron cannot answer puzzles or give information about specific creatures, items or locations. You can only use this feature once per long rest.  

Tormentor's Crux

At 6th level, you have been taught a powerful hex which mires its targets in a variety of sadistic methods. You can use your bonus action to mark a creature within 60ft of you that you can see. Upon doing so, you enforce one of the following effects on that creature:   Mind: The creature gains disadvantage on Intelligence ability checks and concentration saving throws as long as you can be seen.   Body: When you expend charges of Potent Focus to reroll damage, the damage is instead maximized against that creature.   Spirit: The creature has disadvantage on attack rolls against you. Their speed is also decreased by 10ft.   This effect lasts until 1 minute, or until you lose concentration (as though concentrating on a spell). If a creature dies whilst marked by the crux, you can use a bonus action on your next turn to move the crux to another creature that you can see within 30ft. When you move the crux, you can change the effect as part of the same bonus action.   You cannot use this ability again until the end of a short or long rest.   (Tormentor's Crux qualifies for the Maddening Hex and Relentless Hex invocations.)  

Learned Caster

At 10th level, the teachings of your patron have expanded your mind to greater incantations. You gain additional charges of Potent Focus equal to your Intelligence modifier.   Additionally, when you gain a spell from the Mystic Arcanum feature, you can select a spell from the wizard spell list. Even if they are not on the warlock spell list, they are nonetheless treated as warlock spells.  

Unbound Arcanum

At 14th level, your have been unshackled from the restraints you once had, granting you greater versatility. When you use one of your Mystic Arcanum spell slots, you can choose to cast one of your known warlock spells instead. If you do so, the spell is cast at the spell level of the expended Mystic Arcanum spell slot.
