Weapon Class Levels
- Worldkiller- This class is almost never seen due to its destructive power. When installed on capital ships, Worldkiller weapons are generally the only weapons that are able to work. Due to their massive energy/power/ammunition requirements, it is not feasible to construct a large enough ship to contain worldkillers along with complements of the smaller classes. The only human weapons in current use that could be labeled as worldkillers would be the Broadsword-class Particle Accelerator Cannons in orbit over Earth.
- Capital- This is the second-largest class of weaponry used in human forces. The less common weapon mounted on capital ships, it is primarily used against other capital ships, as its name suggests. The only capital class weapons that are universally used are particle cannons and rail guns. Depending on the size of the warship, it is possible to mount multiple capital classes, though in most situations it is to the detriment to other armaments. The only exception to this rule is the GSC Dominator-Class Dreadnoughts line.
- Middle- This is the more common of the capital ship armaments, Middle class weaponry is the sweet spot of power cumsumption and effectiveness. Most warships utilize these weapons as lasers, due to their easier upkeep and the lack of extra room dedicated to ammo. These weapons are not neccessarily better options when compared to the capital class, but they operate as more of a jack-of-all-trades. They are often used in secondary roles in redirecting asteroids, destroying in wholesale inter solar fighters and bombers, and blinding the optics of the enemy.
