Crystal Circle
"You hear about this magnificent crystal circle. And then you travel far to Magaun, to a bunch of dirt piles with only small pieces of crystal."
- Baron Ioran Kehran of Henfas, Estain.
According to the accounts written about the crystal circle, it was made of crystals about 4 meters high and 2 meters wide. Inside were another smaller circle with smaller stones. And outside the two circles were a ditch, leading in four directions. Only the entrance of the circles has a bridge made from normal stones, but with engravings of unknown origin and meaning.
During the ritual, the priests sat around the outer circle, but within the ditch. Some records made by the priests told that during the ritual, they were not able to see within the inner stone circle, as if a fog or a veil covered it from their sight.
The area which the crystal circle is situated within, had been closed off by the priests for several centuries after the event, much to many people's speculations, no official explanation was given, but suddenly they announced that anyone who wanted to see the area, was allowed, which caused a massive pilgrimage, since everyone had heard the miracle of the prophecy.
Not long after, in year 224 AGD, the crystals had disappeared, to everyone's disappointment, and rumours about their disappearance started to flourish. Some says it is the church who took them, while others say they have seen a cult of women looking suspiciously, and they were responsible for the stones' disappearance.
Today there are not much left of the crystal circle, mostly the ditch and the bridge can be seen. There are evidence of the large crystals' placements, but it is as if the crystals have disappeared into thin air, leaving only their footprint and a few smaller crystals behind.
There have been scholars trying to figure out the meaning of the engravings, but its unlike any language they know of.
