Birthright Quests

Birthright Quests are special events the player (or character if you prefer) may choose to pursue to gain some kind of special perk. The rewards associated with their completion are very valuable and a Birthright Quest should give the participant the impression of performing a life altering task. While the subject of legend, these quests are not considered deeds of heroism worthy of myth.   These are legendary feats of strength, and a player may pursue as many as they are capable of performing throughout the life of that character. These quests are generally associated with unlocking a unique player class in the game world. A player is at liberty to maintain as many classes as they choose so long as they meet the conditions of its availability.   Whether the quest is in pursuit of a rare artifact or the beginning of a players apprenticeship into a sacred knighthood, the objective tends to educate and prepare the player on the major changes in power they are about to experience. The player will also find that they are proficiently geared with the tools of their trade upon completion the various sub-quests, and that they are ready to charge forward upon their achievement.   As the classes associated with a Birthright Quest have major impact on the players character, a final quest is always presented to complete the chain. In addition to prompting the players acceptance, it will notify them of what consequences will occur as a result of agreement. Once accepted, it's official and the repercussions can't be undone for better or worse. For all intents and purposes any class requiring a Birthright Quest is considered a Birthright Class. For more information about these classes specifically please refer to Birthright Classes .   It is expected the character intends to commit their time, if not life to these classes. Leaving them prematurely may result in other members of the class seeing the departure as treason, and may seek to hunt down the player. In some cases it might be viewed as dishonorable and situations will vary. Some classes might provide a quest line for a player to return to the path at a later time. Sometimes a class is available as the result of casting a political or factional allegiance.   The player should heavily consider the impact of any Birthright Quests they choose to pursue.
