Royal Signet Ring of the King of the Northlands

Among the treasures of the Northern Kingdom is the Royal Signet Ring of the King, a gold ring set with a large flawless diamond that is engraved with the royal seal of the Northern Kingdom and set above a trapiche emerald.
The ring was a gift to the first king from the hauflin people when Stephen de Vaux settled his people and began to rebuild the ancient dwarven city where the crown city now stands.
The signet ring is worn by the King whenever he is conducting official kingdom business, and kept under guard in the King's vault when he is not wearing it.
The ring is a multi-layer gemstone setting of a diamond, cut to create a flat top that is engraved with the royal seal of the Northern Kingdom, surrounded by a six edged faceted design that perfectly frames the trapiche emerald onto which the diamond is set.
Legend is that the hauflin lapidists that created the ring embued the stones with magics that enhance the powers of not only the gemstones and gold of the ring, but also the magic of the person that wears the ring. This enhancement is said to be stronger if the wearer is of the bloodline of Stephen de Vaux.
