Digwood

A rough and tumble frontier town, home to miners and lumberjacks and those in the ore and lumber business. Populated by dwarves who run the local mining company and barbarians who oversee the lumber industry. The town is dirty, buildings are constructed mostly of stone and wood with elaborate underground rooms and spacious log above ground rooms.
Local syndicate head is the madame of the local bordello, The Lace Cup.
Local thieves guild is run out of the stable.
The city and surrounding area are run by a family resulting from a deal between the dwarves and barbarians that included a marriage of offspring - Shurkurku, a strong barabarian woman and Brouban Twilightfinger, a demure, scholarly dwarf who in secret speaks giant and has an alliance with the eastern giant tribe.
While the town is mostly a home for workers and local merchants, several families made rich by local resources reside in town. As a result, specialized merchants leveraging locally mined resources to create unique and renowned armor and weapons.
