Griffins

The Griffin, a spectacular mythical creature, is primarily described as half-eagle and half-lion and is an indigenous creature only found in Eloria. They are the feared winged beasts of the sky, but when properly tamed by Pandra, the Chief Trainer to the King's Guard, Griffins are an absolute asset to the Sentinels of Eloria.
They snack on Shriss, a small bird-like creature, that flocks together in rocky outcrops, and for the main meal will pounce on a hare or steal a young lamb from a nearby field.
The Fraab, a three-tailed rodent, is always used as a treat or incentive to train the Griffin, as they are quite a delicacy. There is however another rodent-type creature that the Griffins like to taunt and play with, very similar to how a cat will play with a mouse on Earth. This creature is known as the Lanktie, a gray woody textured animal that is about the size of a Capybara.
