Rainbow Emitter Vehicle in Age of Gray | World Anvil

Rainbow Emitter

Not long before the Age of War has finally ended, a new type of weapon has been constructed.
Rainbow Emitters are long-range cannons that shoot out condensed Colors as missiles. Whatever they hit, is completely covered with them, causing death for most, and Oversaturation (condition) for those not lucky enough to die. It also completely warps the area, leaving the circle of swirls that mix with each other.
As the damage that is done by them is completely Color-based, REs are completely useless against Witches and Grays.   As the Age of War ended, all of the REs have been destroyed, and anyone using the technology they use can face imprisonment or death sentence.

Power Generation

Rainbow emitters mostly use pigment-based engines as the source of their power. Each pigment is stored inside of separate tanks, that are then pumped to both the engine and the emitter itself.

Propulsion

Older models used tracks to move across the terrain. As new technologies developed, tracks have been replaced by the propulsion systems (the same that are used in Chlorophonia). The Yellow lets the machine float and cross almost any obstacle possible.
Motto
Colorful death
Speed
20 km/h
Complement / Crew
Small units need only 3-4 crew members to work. On the other side, the biggest ones need at least 10 people but can work more smoothly with 15 crew members.
From one soldier to another
Despite what the higher-ups might tell you, there are still many REs that are fully operational. Some Witches use them against those who rebel against them since most of the people wouldn't really know what left the colorful area behind. For them, it would be some weird, unexplainable anomaly.

I imagine in the earlier days before hover systems you could find one of these being pulled by wayfarers. I also imagine that this is what you were talking about when you mentioned siege weapons/artillery in the ration supplier page.   Congratulations to the inventor; he somehow managed to make a weapon that will simultaneously oversaturate a target with every color on the spectrum.   "Some Witches use them against those who rebel against them since most of the people wouldn't really what left the colorful area behind." You forgot the 'Know' between 'really' and 'what'   If you set this thing to low power, could you strike an area with a negative blue effect and try to take your enemies alive while they're tripping? Could be good for hostage situations.

Yeah, those are one of the artillery weapons mentioned in other articles. I have to say, good idea on the negative blue use of the weapon. I planned to only use it for weapons used to keep prisoners docile, but capturing ones would also be useful.
