Honey Savior (flower)
Fading is one of the most feared conditions in the world. Many lives were lost to it and its cause is still unknown and any traditional methods to prevent contracting seem to be unsuccessful.
However, there is a cure. There is a rare, orange flower growing far north, beyond the lands warped by the Colors, whose juices seem to cure the Fading. But for a price.
The one who will take that medicine cuts of their body from Colors. They won't be able to use anything that relies on them anymore (magic and magical items) and will be susceptible to some other conditions. To find the flower one must be ready for a long journey, leading through the lands where a prolonged stay can warp them into monsters.
Be it for the money, or to save themselves or someone they love, there are many who try to go there.
A skilled alchemist would be able to oxidize the toxins from the petals by putting them into a mortar and grinding them to the right consistency. Doing so creates three doses of the medicine that will lead only to the standard side effects (cutting off one's Colors). There are rumors, saying that some alchemist spent years of their lives, studying those plants. Apparently, some of them would be able to prepare the medicine in such a way, that would produce pills. One portion of the pills, created from one plant, could heal up to six people.

Preparation of medicine
Once one finds the flower, they need to harvest it. As of now, it is impossible to grow the flowers by hand. For some reason, they refuse to grow if any sapient race tries to control their growth. To transport the plant back to civilization, one needs a way to preserve it and prevent its wilting. Eaten raw, the petals of the flower will completely heal one person from fading. However, doing so can lead to serious side effects, nausea, and even death from poisoning as condensed substances within the plant break apart all of the Colors inside one's body.A skilled alchemist would be able to oxidize the toxins from the petals by putting them into a mortar and grinding them to the right consistency.
