Lairs & Lindworms
Lairs & Lindworms is a new phenomenon that's rapidly gaining traction in Titenfiscan society with the advent of mass printing and the high level of literacy achieved by the common citizenry, with several dedicated clubs in major cities and frequent discussions about some sort of gathering for enthusiasts across the country.
Somewhere between a book, traditonal board game and the telling of a story, Lairs & Lindworms can be played by any number of players, only requiring paper and dice at its core. Players select one among them to be the "Storyteller" who serves a as a judge, guide and narrator of sorts to lead the other players throughout the adventure the storyteller devises.
The players themselves each make "Heroes" to serve as their player characters, often fitted after certain archetypes or mythical personnages. These heroes can in turn specialize in different traits like speed or strenght to mold their hero after their own preferences. While playing the players can then describe their actions to the Storyteller, who decides if their character is sucessful or not depending on the roll of the dice measured against the aforementioned traits.
Several addtional books have currently been published to supplement the game, from the Creature Compendium detailing the various flora and fauna of the game to "Adventure books" containing complete adventures for players and storytellers alike to participate in. Popular adventures include "The Caverns of Galmaroth", "Silver Evening" and "Seas of Balerion"
