Age Of Alchemy

It is a glorious age for mankind after the defeat of the crones. Civilization rebuilds itself, and the right people are in the right place for the job. However, mankind remains as mercurial, crafty, and self centered as ever. One can easily find sultry courtesans, starving orphans, and travelling scholars along only one street. Most legendary heroes are considered no more than fairytales, but far more believable stories of heroism persist. In short, the world is a magical place, filled with peril, excitement, discovery, and arcane secrets. Yet the people within it are all varieties of hardened, dutiful, and tricky.
