However, its low supply has trouble keeping up with its outrageous demand.

Laborious Hunting

Mammoth ivory needs mammoths. Mammoths are large, dangerous, and rare creatures that live in some of the world’s most inhospitable and extreme locations. On top of all that, Loxadon detest their killing and will seek swift vengeance upon human hunters.   All of these factors make mammoth hunting a dangerous and maddeningly difficult profession. That being said, it is a very profitable one too. The fist step to a successful hunt is preparation. Hunters will often seek aid from yakrin of rinoman tribes to learn of the movements of mammoth groups. A party must be fully equipped with all manner of gear, and most possess a vast array of skills, including spell casting.   After hunters have a general idea of where mammoths are and have the proper equipment they must actually locate and mammoths. This involves trekking though the frozen tundra and often getting very lost. Once a group has been located, the party must assess whether or not the mammoths are under the protection of loxadon. After all that business is done away with the hunt is truly one.   The party will shadow the mammoths until an opportunity presents itself to strike. Then it is battle, hunters will single out the mammoth with the largest tusk (for better or for worst)   (WIP)
