Weluk'ta Highlands

Peeking through the dense forestation, the Weluk'ta range lies proudly. The forest almost hugging the mountains from all sides.
Hard rocks break the soft tree landscape, giving a beautiful view for all visitors.
This mountain range is located in the northern parts of Seiwania and is a natural border between Lakai and Seiwania. The mountains here are spaced out a fair bit, making room for lots of deep valleys, with humid weather and trapped clouds.   This is were The Luscious Valleys are located - the many humid and lively valleys between Weluk'ta peaks. The mountain range stretches all the way from the northern parts of the country to the south parts, carrying shadow and mist with them.
Large weather systems coming from the ocean gets stuck on the peaks, making many of the valleys between the mountains small rainforest type areas.

Plant and animal life

The unique weather conditions around these areas has led to unique plants and areas, such as the The Luscious Valleys - the valleys that are found deep between the mountains.
This is a place for many rare plants, some even only found in one valley, and not the others. The mountains aren't easy to traverse, as getting to all the small pockets with life that lies between the big rock are difficult. Most of the valleys have never been seen by human eyes.   Explorers are still categorizing all the rare animals and plants in the region, but it is not completely harmless terrain to walk around in.

Many have lost their way and didn't get back to civilization, their bodies never found.   Trees, vines and bushes fill the forest ground as well 10 meters up, making it extremely hard to walk through - for humans. This is great for the animals, but also a bad thing for explorers. It is estimated that at least a dozen explorers have been killed by an unknown predictor that lives in the forest.

Poisonous plants

Many poisonous flowers and shrubbery have been catalogued in the valleys, which might also be a death cause for some of the unreturned explorers. It is believed that the plants have made this defence mechanism because of all the animals that live in the forest, that are able to move unhindered in the dense trees.
