A leader needs protection, and you bet a pirate leader especially needs protection, that's for sure.
An island filled with vicious pirates, lawbreakers, murderers and other shady folks, can be a dangerous place for a person claiming to be the leader of them all. This is why the Crow Leader - The highest rank of pirates on the island - has constant guards with them, no matter where they go.
In need of protection
The Iron Talons is a highly trained bunch of fighters of all sorts; some specializes in spying, others in sword fighting, and some just stick to using their fists, which can be rather effective.
Hiding in the shadows all around the island, their highest number of guards can be found at the
Crow's nest - the house of the Crow Leader (The current Crow Leader is
Ivy Jane Crow, a rather successful pirate herself).
You might not agree with the Crow Leader, but don't try anything stupid or an iron talon will be at your side with a dagger before you know it.
Iron Talon Academy
The academy is located in an imposing building right next to the
Crow's nest and is a small fortress in itself. Here, halls for training can be found on every floor, and outdoor areas are located at the back of the building as well as on the roof. Obstacle courses, defence training, parkour, sword fighting and offence training - everything you need to learn to become an Iron Talon.
Though most of the Talons are educated to be fighters and protesters, observers and listeners is an important part of the organizations as well. The training course is therefore sorted into to categories, depending on what type of work you excel the most at.
