Kraetemos
Structure
Demarch: the voted representative of a given region or community that make and pass law, as well as governing their region.
Palilos: Essentially the clerks and assistants to Demarchs, presiding over districts of their regions.
Culture
Kraetemos values independence and freedom to a great degree and shuns magic to the point of outlawing it entirely. The people came to value the power of natural and hard earned abilities. Self determination is the keystone of their philosophy, but also fully embrace that joining together as a whole makes them far stronger. The model individual is one who can perfectly balance the duty to self and society.
Now in the face of an eras spanning ban on magic, Kraetemos has focused on technology. As such, they have slowly formed a friendly trade relationship with Rao and the orc territories.
History
Originally Ahgaemos and Kraetemos were unified as one. However, Ahgaemos grew mad with power and began to abuse the power of both might and magic. In response Kraetemos declared independence, and to this day it stills shuns magic.
