Day of Light Returning.- Prompt #10 Festival associated with a celestial body

Prompt #10 Festival associated with a celestial body – Day of Light Returning. -
The Winter Solstice in a holiday on which families gather for meals and music, and occasional there is a royal wedding at dawn.
The Oracle and the Guardian’s Wedding during the resettlement of Aetheria.
As the sun rose, Daisy descended the eastern stairs into the amphitheater. Several of her students followed dressed in simple yellow and white gowns. Lessa was her maid of honor, in Allura’s place. Daisy had wanted Allura as her Maid of Honor and was quite grumpy that tradition was against her desire. Daisy was wearing a traditional golden velvet and white silk gown that hugged her curves and flared out to the hem, it gave the illusion that she was floating, not walking. Its long sleeves fluttered in the morning breeze. Her warm brown hair swept up away from her face and piled on her head, the almost invisible sheer of a veil covered her face and floated behind her. With the dawning light behind her, she looked like she was enchanted. A beautiful creature of light stepped down to walk in this mortal plain beside him. He held out his hand to her. Daisy beamed when she saw Kaleth, the Oracle stone around her neck glowing in echo of her happiness. Kaleth looked incredibly handsome. His amber eyes shining with happiness. His blond hair hanging loose, instead of in his usual ponytail. He was wearing the rich chocolate brown, green, and gold of his station of the Guardian of the House of Adamos, with a white silk shirt underneath. A golden velvet cloak matched her dress, it hung off his broad shoulders. The style reminded her of something from the Lord of the Rings, but none of those elves or heroes were ever as strong and wonderful as he to her. Her heart fluttered the same way it did the first time they kissed, only this time she is not afraid to love him. One step closer, then all she had to do was take his hand. Kaleth felt his heart almost stop as Daisy took his hand. Every hour since they fought the dark being together had led to this. Every death, every revival, focused on the hope of his little flower returning to him. Today, she was more beautiful than she had even been, he wondered if she knew it. In her eyes, he could see the promises of love and hope for all their years together to come. It was just after dawn on the Day of Light Return, the Oracle descended the stairs of the amphitheater with the sun rising behind her and took the Guardian’s hand. Beyond the Presbyt, they could see the princess’s eyes shining with happiness. In the circle of polished stone, Kaleth and Daisy stood in front of everyone, holding hands. Two night ago, they had done the same thing to show the people the truth in the past. Today, they were getting married. The Presbyt Myles spoke aloud in a deeply soothing voice about the Light, of love, and of hope, “Love was the first boon to leave the Light of the creator to live with us and comfort us on this dark mortal plane. Love sacrificed itself to bring us the boon of Hope. Hope taught us to not despair, and how to offer healing and forgiveness. Love and Hope became our strength and a shield against all dark things.” Daisy squeezed Kaleth’s hand, he glanced at her and she caught his eye. For a moment they both felt the shadow that passed close by, but the stone glowed faintly, and it was gone. Her eyes narrowed questioningly, he shrugged so slightly no one noticed their communication. Something dark had reached toward them then withdrawn. They listened as the Presbyt continued. “Today we see our hope and our strength united as sealed ones as the Oracles of Light already ordained. It is time to place the token pledge rings on each other’s hands. An outward symbol to all they meet.” Colby and Lessa held out the rings to the Presbyt, who blessed them before offering hers to Kaleth. Daisy was amazed at how like a human wedding the ceremony was. Kaleth put the ring on her finger. It was gold and Daisy read it aloud, happily, “My Beloved Kaleth ~ I am His”. Her hand trembled as she took his from the Presbyt and slipped it on him. His was silver and Kaleth said proudly, “My Beloved Daisy ~ I am Hers”. Several people clapped and were shushed. The Presbyt bound their hands together with a silk cord, speaking, and asking the question. “Hope endures as long as Love lives... My Lord Guardian Kaleth, son of High Lord Adamos, have you chosen this woman to be yours for all time?” “I have for all time,” Kaleth answered, his amber eyes shining with happiness. “My Lady Oracle Daisy, Friend of Princess Allura, have you chosen this man to be yours for all time?” The Presbyt asked her. “I have for all time,” Daisy answered, a tear of joy sneaked out of the corner of one of her lavender eyes. She felt like her smile was going to break her face in half, but she couldn’t help it. Kaleth was smiling just as much. He squeezed her hand lightly. She blinked at him very slowly once, her way of asking him to kiss her, and his eyes narrowed in amusement. As slight blush crossed her cheek, her eyes shined her love at him. He was so tempted but Presbyt Myles wasn’t’ finished yet. Near the front, Rolf the Baker comforted his wife, Della, who cried happily and loudly at their proclamation. “They are so lovely.” Daisy started to giggle, and took a quick look at Allura, who winked at her. Daisy glanced up at Kaleth, who was also trying very hard to keep the proper demeanor but was barely resisting grinning. Several in the crowd shared their mirth, as a ripple of laughter quietly carried over the crowd. Della was well loved and like a mother to many of them, her tearful happiness was an echo of many hearts. The Presbyt kindly allowed the happily distraught woman to compose herself before continuing. Rolf gave his oldest friend and his bride a shrug and a nod. The Presbyt repeated, “Hope endures as long as Love lives... What Love has been bound together in the Light cannot be unbound. My Lord Guardian Kaleth of Adamos, your wife. My Lady Oracle Daisy, your husband...” Kaleth suddenly swept her into his free arm with their bound hands clasped between them and kissed her as her free hand rested on his cheek. The Oracle stone flashed. The gathering erupted in shouts and cheers. They touch their foreheads when the kiss ended, looking in each other’s eyes. Allura laughing, rushed to embraced them. But Presbyt Myles interrupted sternly, “I wasn’t finished, Princess.” Everyone laughed, then quieted. “Sorry,” Daisy blushed and started giggling again. Kaleth just smiled down at her looking unashamed, still holding her in his arm. Allura politely step to the side, grinning. “May you cherish, honor, and respect each other as long as you both live, and may your love always be a light. NOW, you may kiss as a sign of your love,” Myles finished testily.
