Aesarus

Aesarus' inspiration comes from the Palladium Rifts series, except the world is not based around Earth with humans as the native creatures. In this particular world, anthropomorphic beasts have built the dominant civilizations. These creatures vary from wolves, bears, foxes, and many more, along with other non-furred monstrous races. The world has undergone an industrial revolution with the invention of electricity; magic became introduced during the calamity that merged Aesarus with the other planes.   The brief history of Aesurus involves a calamity that connected the material world with other dimensional planes through small interdimensional portals. As a result, mythical creatures invaded the world that significantly impacted the safety of the Aesurusian people. As a response to this threat, swarms of people fled through the interdimensional portals to seek out new worlds that would keep them safe. Unfortunately, not everyone was able to complete this journey, as the portals quickly sealed back shut, leaving behind crumbling civilizations. The remaining population was focused to adjust to the introduction of magic, dangerous beasts, and societies that barely sustained itself. People abandoned their own land to live within new cities built out of the rubble, bringing about new alliances and challenges. Truth is that nobody knew how long their world would last under these new conditions, as civilizations did their best to rebuild.
