The Twelve Organization in Aeryth | World Anvil

The Twelve

Arlith: Goddess of beauty, courage, shepherding, and the keeping of domestic animals. She is the goddess of milk, wool, honey, and other animal products except for meat.
Mesolith: Goddess of jewelry, home crafts, local governance, fellowship, fences, and self-sacrifice. She is called upon for town meetings, local politics, and small down legal hearings.
Orinth: Goddess of taming wild lands, the night, nocturnal animals, fire-fighters, and the hearth. Lamps and candlesticks often bear her image. Hunters and woodsman hold her sacred for her protection.
Wodith: Goddess of celestial turnings, the morning, navigation, trade, ambition, oceans, and trees/woodworking. While obviously useful to travelers, traders, and carpenters, a number of diviners believe her an inspiration to their craft.
Ardren: God if the home, doors, crossroads, public structures, honorable actions, and martial codes. Any civilized code of war or combat contains a dedication to him. On the other side, neighbors in dispute pray to him for a peaceful resolution.
Mordren: God of magic, woodland animals, noon-day sun, the gray moon, the passage of time, metal smiths, and teachers. To prevent Mordren from being jealous, artisans of metal will often stamp his name into the settings for gems, allowing him to claim them so he doesn’t get bothered if they out-shine the metal.
Causdrin: God of elegance, etiquette, social codes, writing, libraries, honorable thoughts/intentions, and the gentlemanly arts. Is paired with Ardren when one seeks to put oneself onto the path of both honorable in deed and will. As such, the pair are often treated as lovers.
Mesodran: God of warm days, summer, agriculture, needed rain, music, and righteous anger. He is the day to Orinth’s night, brother of Mesolith. He loves the former, but she always eludes him in the night. On the rare occasions he captures her, she creates an eclipse. He may only join with her approximately every 50 years during the Fire Sky.
Silvitri: Abstract of form. All things remain as they are through Silvitri. Even though Osh proclaims how long a thing will last, most prayer dedicated to preserving something is devoted to Silvitri, which may concern anything from city walls to marriages.
Quez: Abstract of purpose. All things have uses through Quez. In this way, Quez is associated with science, experimentation, recycling/repurposing, and discovery.
Narsh: Abstract of change. Rules govern how a thing becomes another thing and how one moment flows into another, and Narsh maintains these rules. Any creators or shapers may recognize Narsh in their work. Narsh is usually looked on at the principal deity of magic.
Osh: Abstract of endings. All things expire. When a thing changes or comes into existence via Narsh, Osh proclaims the duration of time that Silvitri and Quez may share it in their grasp. Osh is also the overseer of the dead.
